Due to reports of vandalism, robberies, and shop-lifting, crimes rating are raising like hot smoke in Vic street. Be alert about the crimes that are happening around you.
Jon Yen, a citizen of Vic Street, sent in an email regarding car vandalism crime he witnessed on 19th October 2009, Thursday night.
He said “I was parking my car at block 10 level 3 multi-storey car park last night and this was what I saw! I couldn’t believe it, people to do such terrible things to another’s car, showing no respect whatsoever.” Apparently, the crime did not only have one victim, Jon submitted more than one photo with different cars being vandalized.
Using his camera phone, Jon was able to capture a couple of images and submitted as evidences. He added that as citizens of Vic Street, we should play our part by spreading this news to warn the neighbourhood about such existence of such vandalism so that we can take extra precautions, keep a lookout for one anoth er and inform about suspicious characters around the neighborhood. After the incident last night, car owner Ah Pon, found out that his car had been vandalized last night. He said in a furious tone ” What did I ever do to you!? Why you scratch my car!?” He added that the Police Force should patrol more frequent around the neighborhood to increase the security level.
Prevent the crime
- Park in well lit areas
- Put car sleeves
- Install alarm system
If crime happened
- Inform and report to the Police immediately
- Snap pictures of evidences to provide efficient report
- Organize a citizen patrolling system
Hopefully, now that more people know that car vandalism is going on in our neighborhood, it would be appreciated if neighbors can warn and help one another by keeping a look out for suspicious characters lurking in the car park and around the neighbourhood.
